Overwrite partner profile?!

Former Member

I have following problem:

I post several IDocs into R3, source is a text-file.

Actually we wanted to seperate the incoming data via different partner profiles.

The problem now is that concerning the business System (FTP) the Sender-partner-field in the IDoc is filled with the logical System name. That's why WE02 gives always the error that the partnernumber can't be found.

Does somebody has a solution on this? Or should we use just one partner profile for incoming/outgoing from/to FTP?

br Jens

Jens,

One option, In the idoc in the control Record, fill the values for the fields SNDPRN and SNDPRT as the partnerName and the Partner Type and then in the Receiver IDoc adaptrer, select option take sender from payload ,

or,

use Header mapping as pointed by Michal.

Ok, one question left:

is thos the common way of doing this?! Or should there be just one partner profile for incoming/outgoing to/from XI?!

Hi,

one is the best choice if you have some data inside IDOC

that will tell you that this comes from this customer/vendor etc.

you can also use message variant in WE20

and post this changed with one parner profile only
