How to export a filtered data to excel?

Hello,

I would like to export data from a table which is derived from a query after filters have been placed on it. How can this be done? I am familiar with the How to export guide but this shows only how to export data from a query in an unfiltered state. I need the data in the navigational state as shown in the table.

Hello Marcel,

As I said when I opened this thread, I am already familiar with this tutorial and if you will look at page 8 it says:

NOTE: This will export the default view of the data service to a CSV. It

will not keep filters or navigation states.

And my question is: How do I do it with filters.

Hi Roy,

ok my fault. I haven't noticed this part of you question. I would say, this is not possible at the moment. We had several discussions here in the forum to export tables to excel and this is what you need because the values in the table is filtered in your case. And it is also required by other users to export values of tables, e.g. from RFC/BAPI/Webservices and so on. I want to develop such a service in the future, but I haven't the time at the moment. I will discuss it with my SAP contacts, if it is possible that SAP develops this service or if there is a solution in VC CE available (the rampup starts in July).

Hello Marcel,

What about this workaround solution:

Have an embedded link to an iview which is a standard BI query and pass the filter values to that. The export than will be done at this iView. What do you think, is this feasible?
