How to upload mobile application in Netweaver 2004s?

Hi,

Can anyone guide me to upload mobile application in Netweaver 2004s.

I am not sure whether I can get WebConsole in Netweaver 2004s or to do with Netweaver Administrator.

Please tell me the steps.

Hi Shemim,

NW004s doesn't have WebConsole and you have upload and assign the application using NWA only.

Login to NWA http://<server>:<port>/nwa

System Management> Administration>Mobile Infrasrtucture--> Mobile Archive Converter.

Give the following details

Vendor : <Anything is fine(Like SAP)>

Application type : <Select Application from Dropdown>

Name : <Name of your Mobiel Component>

Description:<Description of your application>

Version: <Version(alphanumeric)>

BuildNumber:<Number>

Link to SAP MI Homepage: <Checked>

Upload file: <Browse your war/jar file>

Then click Generate SDA

This will generate SCA file. Download this to your local desktop.

Now using SDM tool upload this to NWA.

Hi Lakshmi,

For me the "Application type" dropdown box on the Archive converter screen don't has any entries (blank dropdown list box) . it is a mandytory field.... Do you know this is because on any authorization or some table data i need to populate??????

Hi Shemim,

As Laxmi has said there in no webconsole in O4s, but you can achieve the same using NetWeaverMobileAdministrator.

Upload procedure in NWA involves the following steps-:

1. Convert a war to sda.

2. deploy this on J2eeEngine.

3. Do a reload to make it available in ABAP stack.

1. Laxmi has already suggested the procedure of converting .

Save this sda to your local machine from the download link available in the same screen(ArchiveConverter).

2. If you are in SP10 or above then you can deploy this sda directly from NWMAdmin, by clicking SCA/SDADeployment button available in the same ArchiveConverter screen.

If SP level is below then sp10 then you can only deploy this sda using SDM.

Start SDM(Remotgui.bat)

you can find this under your j2eee installation directory(like - C:) -\usr\sap\instance name

\server name \SDM\program\Remotgui.bat.

login with sdm password. select tab deployment add this loocal sda for deployment, choose next and finish the process

3.Navigate till MobileComponent screen of NWA..administration-MobileInfrastructure-MobileComponents

Press reload button.
