add a sales order as subsequent to another sales order

Hi,

This is a unique question I came across. Usually you can create a PO or p.req from schedule line of a sales order. What if I want to initiate another sales order. I mean If I create a sales order, after saving it another sales order ( with different order type) should be created automatically with the same data. I did it using custom coding but was wondering if it could be done by standard SAP.

Hi;

This is not possible in Std. SAP is my take. Because normally when trigger a PR from a SO, this is controlled at the Sch.Line category. In the definition of Sch.Line Category, there is no option to create SO. So I think it is not possible to create a SO from a SO in Std. SAP.
