What's does this error mean:

Import failed. Failed to find the aggregation record from its field values.

Source record no: 1

Is there a solution to correct?

Jarred,

Are all the parent and child parts already in the repository you are importing to? Or, are you trying to add some in through this import.

Also, what version of MDM are you using?

Tim,

The parent and child parts already exist in the repository. i was attempting to import the parent/child relationship link.

I am using MDM 5.5 SP5 P1

Jarred,

There was a previous that went unanswered on this same error. Unfortunately I do not see that there was ever a solution provided.

I can say that I have successfully imported a relationship in MDM 5.5 SP5 P1 in the same way you are trying. The only other thing I can think of is maybe it has something to do with the way the relationship is set up in the Console. Can you try creating a new parent/child relationship and see if importing to it results in the same error?

The key field that you use to load the relationship must be defined as:

Unique................Yes

Display...............Yes

Multilingual..........No

My problem was that I had defined Model Number as multiligual. When I changed this setting and loaded with Update Indices the load worked.

I have not found anywhere in the literature that talks about this restriction. You can create the relationship in the Console. You can load this type of relationship in Data Manager. You can not however load them in Import Manager.
