Button Hyperlink not working

Hi All,

For something that seems so simple I've got no where!

Created a Visual Composer iView with a button.

Set the action to 'system action' with action type 'Hyperlink'

Apply to 'self'

Validation scope 'window'

hyperlink address "http://www.google.com"

The button appears but no action is every taken when its clicked. The screen remains in the same state.

Tried to use a button in the toolbar with no result when clicked, also tried to use the system action 'History Back' but that also didn't work, the same as 'Close Window' didn't work.

The javascript seems to run something as the browser status bar changes, however it happens so quickly I can't see what is said, plus viewing the source does not display the javascript functions.

Hi Brian,

I don't think that this can be avoided... The Self property doesn't do much and in the code it fires the link in a new window regardless of your choice...

It looks like a bug

Hi Brian,

It sounds like you're using Webdynpro to compile your application. Try to use Flash instead and see if it works or not. It should work. Webdynpro is not fully supporting everything currently

Thanks Natty, works but opens in new window, how do I resolve that!
