Import Server Issue - URGENT

Hi,

I am trying to make the import server work with XML Schema. XML data files based on the XML schema open and process fine with the import manager, but error out with import server (Structural Exception). Log says to save update the map. After save update the file processes fine in the import server. But the problem is that we have thousands of files to load (more than 3000000 records in total) and import server is failing on every file. Any suggestion on how to make this work?

Please check, whether your xsd-Definitoin and your XML-File are in sync. You can do this e.g. by using the validate function in XMLSpy.

Import Server is a little bit more restrictive on the structure of XML-Files than Import Manager.

Are you sure, that in your import port definition you're using the same map as in the Import Manager GUI ?

can you attache the logs to this thread ?

There seemed to be an issue with the import server version. Upgraded to sp05 p1hf1 and the issue is resolved.

hi Harsha,

I do have the same problems,'save-update map' structural exceptions in the import server. It complains about undefined elements, and if saved the update it works for one single XML file but other still fail with similar error. Mapping the files in the import manager just works. We are using version 5.5.41.70 here of all components. sp05 p1hf1 is where you upgraded to, which version is that? where to get it?
