Hii Shivaji,

Usage of item categories depends on business scenario's but the most commonly used item categories are.

TAN - Standard item

TANN - Free of charge

AFN- Inquiry item

AFNN- Inquiry item free of charge

AGN- Quotation item

AGNN- Quotation item free of charge

REN - Returns item

G2N- Credit note item category

L2N- Debit note item category

TAS - third party item

TAQ - BOM item (Main item level pricing ICG ERLA)

TAE - Sub item in BOM (Not relavent for pricing-ERLA)

TAP - BOM item( Main item not relavent for pricing ICG- LUMF)

the combination of Order type, itCa group, higher level Ca, Usage is the determinator for item cat. Check VOV4

Most commonly used ones depend on your industry and business, some examples as Mr Banka mentioned are:

TAN, TANN, TAQ, TAP, TAS, TAD, TAO... in standard order

AGN, AGNN....in quotation

L2N, G2N, G2S....debit and credit notes

KEN, KAN...consignment

BVN, KLN, WVN.. They are all pretty popular

Order OR, itemC group Norm, higherLCa TAN together can be assigned TANN.

Default TAS can be assigned manual ItC TAN..this is a big topic, please refer to VOV4

TAN - for Delivery Item in Sales

TANN - for Delivery Item incase of free Sales

TAS - for Third Pary Scenario

TAD - for Service Items

TAC - for confurable Material

& so on.
