How take backup in XI

Hi all,

I am doing format of my XI system I want take backup of my xi secnarios from my system, Could please guide me how take the Backup in XI.

Ashok,

Go to Tools -> Export Design Objects.

Choose Software component version, Mode -Transport using File System

Object Set -All Objects of a Software Component version

Click Finish.

It will export as .tpz file in ur XI system. Then you can again re-import the .tpz files.

if I want to Export SWCV using CMS how can I do that.

Ashok,

One more thing, do the same for DIR . There you won't find Software component. Juz follow the wizard it will be helpful.

Small Info : Do you think XI DIR don't have swcv, no it has the swcv for XI Directory objects are SAP-INTDIR .

export all your swcv and business scenarios.

Right click-->export., Those files will be stored at thos location with .tpz extension

D:usrsapXIXSYSglobalxi epository_serverexport -- Repository

D:usrsapXIXSYSglobalxidirectory_serverexport --- Configuration.

If you want to save the messages...look into archiving procedure in help. Here is link to the pdf
