Ranjeet,

Its possible to export XI Mapping, but I don't know how to edit in external editors. It will export as .mte files . But SAP Suggested not to export message mapping, and do any changes.

Please follow the weblog.

Kindly request you to read the discussion in the blog(Alexey Borodin).

it is need in SAP XI becuase.. sometime when u copy or move mapping between from one namespace /software comp..to another there are always problem of reference removal and sometimes mapping become obsolete or it simply goes off....

the reason it is should be there is that suppose when u want to copy a similar mapping in all the field it is better to export the mapping to a some tool and edit it and reimport it into XI...

it saves time and effort...

is there a way to see the get the xsd representation of mapping ?

Hi,

I havenot tried this.....but i think we cannot take the xsd of mapping....instead we can only take xsd of source and target structure.
