structure explosion not possible for the item

What is meant by structure explosion and not possible for item level.

Could anyone explian me the above mentioned.

structure scope determains weather it is poosible to configure the material in the sales document.

Structure Explosion For Item No Is Not Possible error because in item category field structure scope you have to maintain Aor B .It is not normal

Hi ,

It is structure scope. Structure scope will be used when u r doing BOM. There You can specify the extent to which non-configurable materials should be exploded in the sales order, that is, the level up to which subitems should be created for the bill of material components.

At the strructure explosion, u will have the controls like Donot explode material structure, Explode single level bill of material, explode multi level bill of material.

So structure scope determines the Whether BOM(bill of material) should be exploded or not.
