Hello,
I have an issue with Webdynpro under content administration in portal
When clicked on WebDynpro tab it gives a login page
How do I fix this issue?
I am already part of Administrators group, and I was able to access that before with out any issue, and also have the super admin role assigned to my id
unfortunately there is no error message in the log file
Appreciate any suggestions
Thanks,
Kiran
Hi Kiran,
Webdynpro content admin login and portal login are different , u may be in the administrators group but dont have the Super admin role assined to your user.
try assignning the Super-Admin Role to your user, or confirm the role structure from the server administrator if he has specifief a seperate role for WDADMIN.

try adding your user id in the group called 'Administrators' in the portal. Add your userid to that group and then check whether you can get to that page without getting the login screen.

Hi
1) Check whether your Account is locked if so unlock the same in user admin (http://servername:httpport/useradmin)and change the password and also check whether your user in administrator group. Then logon to useradmin again change the password and try to logon to the content administrator of webdynpro
2) If your Account is not locked . Go to user admin and check whether your user is in administrator group and try to logon to the content administrator of webdynpro
3) Check whether your password is expired or not
Hope this helps,

Hi Arun,
Thanks for your response
1)My account is NOT locked, as I can login to portal and browse through it except the content administrator of webdynpro
however when I use my credentials I am unable to login to (http://servername:httpport/useradmin) and no errors in log file, but if I give incorrect credentials it gives "authentication failed" error...
2)The user is already part of administrator group
Thanks
Hi
Try this
1)Assign the user to administrator group in visual admin again.
Login to Visual Admin -> Server -> Services -> Security Provider -> Usermanagement -> Click on Modify -> Search for your user -> Click on Group -> Search for "Administrators" group and add your user here.
2) After assigning try to open the content administrator if doesnt work Try restarting you machine/J2EE engine and check now
3) Try with patching up the web as
Thanks and Regards,
Arun
Hi
Activate the emergency user and logon to visual admin and now try to add the administrator (or) other user to administrator user to administrator group and deactivate the emergency user again and now try to logon to webdynpro content administrator now
