Hi,
In a invoice i have to extend the description of the material to 40 characters . the variable is vbdpr-arktx. in ddic it is 40 characters long. But in the text element it is defined as &vbdpr-arktx(18)& is it enough to increase the character length here to 40 characters.
Hi,
Technically that should be sufficient. However please note that there may not sufficient space to print all the 40 characters, in which case either you will have to change the font or change the window width or trunctate it to the max possible.
I hope this helps,
Regards,

Hi Mahesh,
Declaring it as &vbdpr-arktx(18)& restricts the length to 18 characters. Instead declare it as &vbdpr-arktx&. It will solve the problem.
Thanks
Aneesh.
