Hai gurus,
It is very important and urgent also, ie how to draw the vertical and horizontal lines in smartforms. Pls help me with an example and also tell about the functions used for that purpose. Pls...................

by using tables or templates u can draw vertical and horizontal lines in smartforms by selecting the correct pattern...

Please give exact requirement like, you want border for windows or want a table on the smartform etc...
If you want to draw borders for the window, then goto window output options and in the border/frames, give line width as 1 PT.
If you want tables, then check any good smartform material and you will have information on creating tables. If you need any good material, mail me on navneet.saraogi@yahoo.com

To display the data, we can use Template and Tables Option.
with in these, we can set borders for the columns.

once go through the thread u will get to k now differnt ways
Change the editor to 'PC Editor' and take the menu.
in text editor of TEXT ELEMENTS..
Insert -> Characters -> SAP Symbols
in print preview u can't see these changes..

Just use the standard sap syntax :
sy-uline for horizontal line
sy-vline for vertical line
