Syndicator - Scheduling a port

Former Member

We created a new port and defined the following properties:

Processing type: automatic

Processing Interval : Daily

Next date: 18.6.2007 (today)

Next Time: 08:00:00

The Auto Syndication Task Delay (seconds)=600 in the MDSS.ini file

The syndication run every 600 seconds. and not Daily as we define at the console port.

Is someone know how to schedule propertly?

and why we stil need to define the Auto Syndication Task Delay in the MDSS.ini file when we have the scheduling option in the port?

Thank you for you help

no you do not need to define in port open mdss.ini file inside that you can find Auto Syndication Task Delay (seconds)=0

you can make changes and save it

but make sure if you are using sun solaris server make changes though server side not windows side

i hope it will help to sloved your problem

Hi Catherine,

The Auto Syndication Task Delay parameter of the MDSS.INI file comes into picture when the processing type of the outbound port is <b>"Automatic"</b>.

Now if you want to schedule a port then in addition to what you have defined in Console; Set the <b>"Auto Syndication Task Enabled"</b> parameter of the MDSS.INI file to <b>False</b>.

Hope this will solve your problem. Revert back to me for further queries.

Thanks,

Hello,

Thank you for your reply but it didn't help, it just stoped all syndication.

I downloaded the next build and now it works as expected.
