Hi,

ATP check is happening in order because of ATP check defined at schedule line level.

So if you remove this check then ATP will not happen at all.

Dear Sriram,

if the availability check is switched off on the schedule line level, then NO ATP check will be done. The requirements class level indicates only, how to check and where (stock, special stock, assembly etc.). No availability check will be done, if on the schedule line level the ATP check is switched off. The system will confirm then the full quantity to the required date (plus transportation scheduling, if switched on).

This combination (no ATP check, but requirements transfer) is typical, for example, for SD scheduling agreements.

I hope, this info helps you a little bit further.

Hi,

First if you have turned it off at schedule line level then ATP will not happen in order.

If you are performing ATP at time delivery also,so this thing to happen we have check for delivery item category for ATP check.

Check the scope of check setting in ATP configuration.

Dear Sriram,

if you mean here the delivery relevance of thec item category in the sales order, then it has nothing to do with the ATP check. The schedule line is deliverable, if the delivery flag is set in the Customizing of schedule line categories (VOV6). The item is considered for delivery process if it contains the corresponding flag in Customizing of item catregories (VOV7).

If you mean item category of delivery, then it is so, that the delivery has its own availability check. Here there are other functionalities as in the sales order (forexample, ATP check on the charge level). The ATP check in delivery is fully independent on the ATP check in the order. However, from the business point of view, you should be consistent, and if you check the goods in the stock in the order then it would be reasonable to check it also in the delivery.

I hope, this info helps you a little bit further.

Dear Sriram,

the availability check is always done on the item leven (you can check only the whole item, not the determined schedule lines), but the ATP relevance is defined in the Customizing of schedule line categories (transaction VOV6). So, the schedule line relevance is main point of decision, if the Availability check will be done or not.

Moreover, you can have different schedule line types ordered to one item: some with ATP check, and some without ATP check. It is also allowed. As on the background all schedule lines will be checked, the official recommendation of SAP that the schedule lines with ATP check should always follow before the schedule lines without ATP check.

TOR is independent from ATP check. You can create the requirements for the schedule lines without ATP check (typical, for example, for scheduling agreements). You can also do ATP check and do not create the requirements. It is also allowed.

To summarize it shortly: you do the ATP check only on the item level, but only ATP-relevant schedule lines will be checked, and it is always recommended to have ATP-relevant schedule lines located before ATP-irrelevant schedule lines within one item (SAP-note 547508, question 5).

I hope, this information will help you further.

Hi,

Availability and TOR is controlled in Delivery through Requirement Class configuration.

In case if you switch off the Availability Check in the Sales Order, then it would happen at the time of delivery creation, only if the Avaiability check is enabled at the Requirement Class level.

At the time of delivery creation, the Availability can be further controlled at Delivery Item Category. Remember, this control is only a <b>"OFF Switch".</b> That is you can define whether a particular Delivery Item Category, availability check should be carried out or not. For example in Returns Delivery, the item category REN would have the tick enabled, since returns delivery would not require an availabity check to be carried out.

Hope this help .... if yes .. then please Reward.

Hi,

Yes... The system checks the setting at schedule line level for Availability check and TOR in a sales document. If it is switched off at scheduline level , the system will not carryout the same..
