HTTP Connection For Proxies

Hi all,

Here iam struggling while creating the HTTP connection to connect the proxies....

Here is my requirement ..I am doing the file to proxy(ABAP) Scenario..

I am creating http connection in my XI system using SM59.

In target host i entered the SAP host and entered port ...In Logon securities i enterd the client ,user and password relating to the SAP system which is my receiver.

but it is showing ICM_CONNECTION_FAILED.

Can any one suggest me regarding this.

plz tell me whether the way iam folling is right or not in this scenario?

and also please correct me if iam wrong.

Hi,

You should create a connection of type H:

target host: <hostname>

Servicenr:<ICM port ABAP> for example 8000

Path Prefix: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry

Logon using XIAPPLUSER/PIAPPLUSER or other suitable user which is set-up in the target system.

If you test the connection and get an HTTP 500 with Statustext "Empty HTTP request received" You are fine.

Create ur HTTP connection according to this procedure and with the specified Logon credentials

Hi pratik,

I created a connection and getting the status 500

so what it mean connection made successfully or anything else.

I am in XI system to create HTTP connection

what would be the target host is it XI host or SAP host

why because is when i gave the SAP host it is not Accepting it os saying ICM connection failed.

but when i give XI host it is giving status 500.

until unless giving the details of SAP system how can it recognize.

Please help me regarding this..

According to the weblog i mentioned above, the creation of this HTTP connection should be done at R3

HI Krishna

go to service.sap.com,

and then you should download icm patch and apply to XI,

Also check the ip address was not maintained in the host file of integration server
