Alert Types

What are alert types? How can I view the macro alert in alert monitor ? How do I associate the macro alert with the type that I define in alert type?

Each Alert (database or dynamic) has an alert type. SAP provides a number of alerts (with corresponding alert types). You can also create your own alert types using transaction /SAPAPO/ATYPES_SDP for SDP application area only.

In the alert profile settings you assign the alert types (tthrough the alerts ) that are to be displayed along with the Planning Book.

The Alert Profile is used to display alerts in the Alert Monitor.
