Hi,
I have installed a new SAP ECC 5.0 system and upgraded the Kernal to Patch 175. Now I want to apply a patch for ICM due to an issue with HTTP request processing using ICM.
I need your help for a few issues :
1). How to find the cutrrent patch level of ICM for my system.
2). The location of ICM patches (to be downloaded) on Service Marketplace.
3). How to apply the ICM patch on my SAP system?
Please reply ASAP.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Manish
Hi Manish,
Please check oss note 698017: ICM patch collection for 6.40 kernel
http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=698017&_NLANG=E
ICM patch is part of DW bundle (disp+work). your patch level seems to be last released one 175 from SAP. Please go through the above note to see which kernel revision would be applicable for you....
Cheers !!
Satya.
P.S.: Pls award points if helpful...Thx.

Hi,
As per your reply I have to use the file DW_186-20000252.SAR while upgrading the Kernal as its the latest version available at Service. But the problem is that I have already used this file but the problem still remains the same.
Can you please tell me where can I see the current version of ICM.
Also please validate my approach that ICM patch collections are not available seperately but they are a part of the SAP Kernal upgrades.
We will be using the following files while upgrading the SAP Kernal:
SAPEXE_175-20000252.SAR
SAPEXEDB_175-20000254.SAR
DW_186-20000252.SAR

Manish
Hi,
Sounds valid steps. There is a new DW patch DW_187-20000252.SAR. So use that one instead. So as you said ....
SAPEXE_175-20000252.SAR
SAPEXEDB_175-20000254.SAR
DW_187-20000252.SAR
To check ICM version go to :
1. Run transaction 'SMICM'
2. Then choose from menu: 'GoTo' -> 'Release Notes' (or simply press F9 key)
3. In the next screen you will see the release information and patch level for ICM.
Good luck...
Cheers !!
Satya.
1. Tx SMICM -> Release Notes
2. service.sap.com/swdc -> .... Kernel ... I think it is part of disp+work, check Info to find the ICM patch in the releavant kernel.
3. Upgrade kernel
