HI expert,

I find that the sap service running on windows 2003 would be restarted by SYSTEM even i MANUALLY shut down it. In the event viewer, i find that user named SYSTEM will auto restart it? Any one know why it happend? How can i stop it?

Hi Lewis,

This also happens when you Stop SAP service using MMC and you don't close MMC after that.

The obvious trigger for starting this service is opening of SAP MMC.

If you stop instance from MMC kindly close it and then stop the service in Services list.

It will not turn it on and there is no need to making service manual too.

Try this out iit should work.

Thanks & Regards

Hello Lewis,

I guess the service start up is still set to automatic. You need to change its startup type to manual from automatic. After thaat if you cancel service it wont re start.
