Dear Sara

I have not seen any table starting with *, if you find any so tell me , normally it is used form fuzzy logic search.

table starting with V, are for Sales VBAK Sales Document: Header Data

table starting with A, are for master tables e.g. A004 for material,

table starting with T, are Configuration tables for e.g. T000 for Clients, T001 for Company Codes

table starting with S, are tables For structures, for e..g S004 SIS: Product/Sales Organization/Distribution Cha

Hi Jitesh

I tried to look at the tables that are there for every program using T.code SE80 and i found that some of them have * symbol in the front and some don't.I was wondering if there is any meaning to that.

Thanks

Sara,

usually * is used for the search , well if any one wants to search a table starting from A and does not know the full table name , you just add a * to it so that the search can list out all the possible tables with first letter as A ....

i hope you get the concept and there is no such table in SAP as A* .its just used for the search criteria.

Hope this helps

Cheers
