How to print Smart Form in Real time?? Do We Use Print Program for that

Hi Jaani,

Every smart form will have print program, but some smartforms will be directly executed by its own print programs. Some will be triggered by standard applications. These both scenarios will be used in real time scenarios.

Hi,

If you are asking about printing standard documents. They would ne printed whenever you save the document (It would be controlled by output determination configuration where you would specify program, form, printer, output type etc.)

If you are asking about printing smartforms that are not attached any standard transactions. You would create a program using the function module that would be generated for the smartform.

HI all can u be bit clear any how we can write logic inthe form itself , but when will we go for print program and when we directly execute the form ,,

hi,

In real timeSmart Forms are printing by it's related Print Program .

In Smart Form, Form logic and Print Program are separate.

The smart Form Print Program is where the majority of data extraction occurs.

Typically one smart form print program should assosiated with one type of a form.

for example purchase order has a corresponding smart form purchase order print program that only handles data extraction of form.

The print program of the smart form pass data to the form through function module interface which was genarated by system whenever the smart form is activated.
