SICF parameters needed for back button to exit R/3

When upgrading to MY Sap ERP 2005 recently, we applied note 959417 to update the SICF parameters for the WEBGUI to include ~singletransaction = 1 and an EXITURL for our intranet, so that when hitting the back button from the Maintain time screen, users would be brought to our company's intranet and not into R/3.

We just applied SAP HR support packs SAPKE0009 – SAPKE0013 and EA_HR – SAPKGPHD13.

With the implementation of the support packs the SICF parameters were wiped out. When we tried reapplying, the ~singletransaction and exitURL, they no longer fix the problem. With the parameters set we just get logged off immediately when we try to get into the application. Does anyone know if something has changed recently with these parameters and if so, is there a new parameter to use to allow the back button to exit the application without taking you to the SAP easy access screen.

Hello Pamela,

Applying HR support packs should not effect the webgui service, so I'm not sure why the ~singletransaction and ~exiturl would have been reset. Anyhow, please make sure that the the transaction is still using the webgui service. If not you will need to add the ~singletransaction and ~exiturl to the service being called.

You mentioned "we just get logged off immediately when we try to get into the application". Does this mean that you don't even see the transaction or the logoff occurs after clicking the "back" button?

The SICF parameters in the webgui service were overlayed by the support packs and the additional parameters that we had added ~singletransaction and ~exiturl were removed. When we add them back we can't even get into the CAT2 transaction. As soon as we click on the timekeeper tab, we get the message that we have successfully logged off. We cannot get into the transaction to see if it has any effect on the back button with the parameters set.
