i am into sap basis. i would like to know something about sap xi. Is there any thing related to us in sap xi are it is for developer. I dont have any idea about this.

could someone help me.

NetWeaver Administrator would be the best possible option for a Basis person

HI Naresh

XI is for Developer but there are some roles for the Basis Guy also..

For Basis Guy there are some tasks need to be performed in XI...

General task includes,

1)Installing Adapter framework.

2)Maintaining RFC connections.

3)Roles and Authorization.

4)Updating Patches etc....

All the Task except for the Object developments in the Repository are work of SAP BASIS.

Or you can say all the activities related to system administration is SAP BASIS responsibilty.

Some of these are interchangeable such as SLD (creating TS and BS), creating RFC destination etc.

Hi,

Ofcourse there is a role for you basis guys. In XI, we have two catagories:

1) Development Consultant

2) Technology Consultant

basis guys will fall under Technology part and responsible for all installations, patchings etc.. etc..
