Removing a field from ESS screen

Hello,

I am modifying the webdynpro code for Family Members/Dependents .I want to remove certain fields from the Spouse Edit (Detail) screen.

Whats the best way to do it,do we just need to remove these fields from the View of the Webdynpro application or also delete that field from the context and the corresponding BAPI?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I am not answering your question. But infact, I have a query.

I want to configure ESS and MSS in Portal. I am working on Netweaver 2004s SP10 and EP 7.0

Can you provide me with a How to - guide or some tutorial for configuring ESS and MSS in Portal.

Hi Subhash,

It will be better not to remove the field from the view. Instead, you can set the visisbility of the unwanted fields to 'None' so that at a later time, if it is required you can easily bring it back.
