How to set up 'Tansport Request' to move Configuration Change to Prod ?

I would like to know the steps to transport the Configuration Changes from Development to QA (or Production).

Transport request are of 2 Types i.e Customization & Workbench.

Process to release Transport Request is goto T.Code: SE10 & select the Transport Request created by you. In the first step, expand the Transport Request. It can be observed that there is a dependent request to it. You will first release the dependend / child Transport request & next release the Main Transport request. it would take some time & once the Transport request is released, it will reflect message that the request is released successfully or with warning. Once The Transport Request is release, inform the basis consultant the Transport Request number, along with approval from your project manager to get the request to be moved to Quality & / or Production Server.

Basis Consultant normally Transports the Request using T.Code STMS.

Hi Oscar,

Request are of two types.

1.Customization Request.( functional Consultants)

2.Workbench Request( Abapers)

If you are doing any configuration change using you user id in Devlopment system.

1.while saving the changes it will ask for customizing Request, here you have to give the request and save the changes.

if you want to move the changes from Development System to Qualtity.

Goto Transaction SE09 or Se10 give your user id name then Click on Display

Here Go to your Request No.xxxxxxxx and Click the Tranfort Icon/Bus Icon or Press F9.then the changes will be moved to Quality System.

Please ensure that Task will be released first.

Hi,

When you save any configuration settings,a transport request will be generated.Go to SE09 and Release the request by clicking Release button(Truck)

First release the second request which you can find when you open the main reqiuest and then main request.

Give this request number to Basis guys they will do the rest in Tcode STMS.

This request will first be transported to QA.And after testing to production.
