Hi Atul,

i see we've some misunderstanding here )))))))))))))))))

My previous post is my new question!!!

I have non-SAP web-based system. The functionality of this system is similar to SRM. I should create solution, that establishes a correspondence between master data of that system and SAP SRM.

I'm really need to know the following:

I know how master data stores in my system, so my question is "how master data stores in SRM"?

Thanks.

No, it's not BW functionality.

At this moment my task is to study SRM master data.

I need to know what exactly master data means?

In which tables i can find master data?

What does master data consist of (materials, vendors etc.)?

Hi

Master data in SRM can be downloaded from the SAP back end. This data includes product master records, business partner master records, and product categories. products (material), service masters, and product categories (material groups) are downloaded via the middleware. The middleware is a set of programs that exist partly in the EBP and partly in the SAP back-end plug-in.

EBP uses the SAP business partner concept. An internal or external business partner is created in EBP for every person, organization, or group of people who could be involved in a business transaction. The vendor is an external business partner. Conversely, plant is an internal business partner. A shopping cart requester, a plant, an organization, a creditor, vendor, a bidder, or a marketplace are all business partners within SRM.

Vendors are not downloaded via the middleware -- instead using a transaction "BBPGETVD" or via the synchronization.

The SRM solution uses the business intelligence capabilities of SAP NetWeaver to access any number of connected systems and extract the information (especially FI documents) needed to paint a detailed picture of spend across the entire corporate group. The Local Master Data Alignment in SAP BW allows harmonization of central master data for reporting purposes. Advanced sorting capabilities help to quickly identify inconsistencies such as duplicate vendors or products. Moreover, this tool supports assigning purchasing categories to standard classification schemas such as the United Nations/Standard Products and Services Code (UN/SPSC) and eCl@ss.

Thus, mySAP SRM provides you with a clear view of procurement costs and supply-base data by highlighting consolidated spend volume, supplier redundancies, and demand aggregation opportunities.

Thanks for information, Atul!!!

But i still want to know:

1. In which tables i can find master data?

2. Is there any sign, that separate master data and non master data?

3. How can i understand that some records in, for example, COMM_PRODUCT are master data?

4. Is there tables that contain only master data, or master data and non master data is saved in cofusion?

Thank you!

Hi

As i have given the links earlier, Master data is nothing but Vendors, products, partners, etc..

SRM Master Data Tables

Please refer to Tablesbelow ->

BUT000 table for all kind of partners in SRM (Bidders, Vendors, contact persons, suppliers, goods receipients, etc..)

Table VENMAP for Vendors replicated from R/3 backend using BBPGETVD Transaction.

Table COMM_CATEGORY for Product categories.

Table COMM_PRODUCT for Products.

Hope this will help.

Thanks a lot for your information - it's very helpful!!!

Maybe you can say some words about following:

I have non-SAP web-based system. The functionality of this system is similar to SRM. I should create solution, that establishes a correspondence between master data of that system and SAP SRM. I know how master data stores in my system, so i need to know how it stores in SRM. (I don't know yet, how this solution will be look like. That's why i decided to start from understanding of how master data is stored in SRM.) That's why i asked about description of tables.

Thanks.
