Could any one let me know what is the essential difference b/w Exclusive lock & Exclusive but not cumulative lock?

Hi Lars,

I didn't find satisfactory explanation about Exclusive lock & Exclusive

but not cumulative lock in SAP Lock Concept material

Plz explain me the subtle diff between the two..

Hi Dinakar,

it may help if you tell us what exactly you did not understand with the explanation of the lock concept in the documentation.

What are the specific questions you want to get answered?

Since this is not a DB topic at all it may also be possible that the readers in this forum cannot answer your questions sufficiently.

Basically the difference between the two lock modes is about when a workprocess will get an error when it tries to aquire several locks in parallel.
