Hi,

2 questions:

1) my NWDevStudio is lying - when deploying databasetables, I get the message - deployment finished successfully, but no tables are being generated on the J2EE.

the additional logfile says:

Deployment was successful -

When a collegue does the same he gets some create table-sql statements and his really can deploy tables.

we could not find any differences between our dictionary projects - and both use NWDevStudio: Version: 2.0.10

2) is there a plugin available in NWDevStudio for checking sql?

any ideas appreciated,

thanx, matthias

Hi,

If the deployment is fine then ideally it should create tables in MAXDB.

Please check once weather you are deploying on the correct engine or not ?

If that is fine then open SQL studio and check tables are created under SAPBEPDB domain or not.

Hi Anilkumar,

I definitly deploy on the same machine as my collegue who can deploy and create tables. But my tables do not show up.

How do I access SQL Studio? My collegue checks with an extra eclipse installation - but i think this should be possible from my NWDevStudio.

Thanx for more answers,

matthias

Hi,

You can get the SQLStudio installation in the location

sapinst\opt\J2EE-CD\SAPDB\NT\SETUPS

I am not sure about the plugin

Hi Kasig,

What data you are giving for connecting to the Database through SQL Studio?

Hi,

in Visual Admin we set under JDBC Connector a new DataSource node called sap.com/JDBC and this carries a node JDBC with following entries:

Name: JDBC

Driver Class: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

Database URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1527:BEP

User: SAPBEPDB

Pass: password

sql studio asks for

server - database - user -password

in webdynpro I set

"jdbc:oracle:thin:@<IP>:1527:BEP",

"SAPBEPDB",

"password";

in sql studio i put:

server: <IP>:1527:BEP

DB: JDBC

User: SAPBEPDB

pass: password

this crashes...

why?

concerning my question 1)

my deployed tables now show up - a collegue watches the db with quantum 2.4.5 was eclipse plugin.

but i have no clue why...

strange thing. Because I did not deploy anymore. It's like during night somebody put my tables on the db.

apparently we've got EP Patchlevel 11 and NWDevStudio Patch 10. Should we patch the dev studio?

Hi Kasig,

Modify the values of parameters for connecting SQL Studio as follows:

Server : <IP of your WAS>

DB : BEP

User : SAPBEPDB

password : <password of J2EE Server>

hi,

i tried that already - crashes.

maybe i am totally wrong? i don't connect to a WAS but a J2EE.

Like my collegue I am using eclipse with quantum db plugin now. I also put the quantum db plugin in NWDevStudio, but it won't show up under "open perspective"--> other...

matthias
