Full ack!

A lof of people demand that here - and I really wonder why they don´t try to start with the usual installation guides, they are VERY detailed and in fact step-by-step, one just need to read them.

Installing a SAP system of whatever kind is not as installing Microsoft Office

Ya i saw te document but even getting errors like X11 and other is i found only "startInstGui.sh" but in the installation document i found sapinst.

Which is the correct one to use i didnt find any extension for this sapinst so how can i use as ./startinstgui.sh

simply answer: don´t use it

start "sapinst" from the installation CD/DVD. The GUI will be started automatically. you only need startgui.sh if you want to use the gui remotely.

Again, the answer is simple:

sapinst

For the remaining information, refer to the installation guides. You'll find them in the SAP Service Marketplace.

Ok - again.

you have your shell open, it looks like this

[root@hostname]#

there you enter

file sapinst

(just as I have it written there) so that it looks like

[root@hostname]# file sapinst

now press enter and post the result of that here.

I got this error

for

hostname# file sapinst

sapinst: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.4.1, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.4.1, not stripped

Ok - you are using a 64bit installer.

Is you system a 64bit Linux?

Check with "uname -a"

if x86_64 is not listed anywhere in the line, you have a 32bit system and you can't install with this CD set.

you will have a hard time finding that. and even if you find it, it won't work 100% becasue you system will never be 100% identical to another.

if you really want to learn, you must do it the hard way, you read the installation guide and all associated notes. it will take you time of course.
