Hi,
What are the transactions that would enable preventive troubleshooting of Database for example, how to add datafiles and extend the table space size.

hi
DB02, DB03, DB12, DB24 are the transaction codes used for maintaining the database.
In OS level BRTOOLS is used for maintaining database backups and tablespace management.

Hello
The most simple thing is to schedule daily a brconnect -check for your database and to analyze its log after in DB14 or DB16. It reports some kind of interesting checks and you can parametrize it with DB17

Hi Tripura...
The transaction code would be ST04.. it will tell you when DB was last started... from there u can come to know whether the DB is in Archive log or no Archive log mode and you can even check the Initsid.ora .Try navigating as much as you can and u will get to know more..
Regarding adding datafiles.. You have to go to db02.. and it will show u the tablespaces ..
Addition of datafiles can be done using sapdba or brtools.
Follow the options after u call brtools and they are all self explainatory

Hi
Database size can be monitored using DB02 and tablespace can be added by running brtoools at OS level. Other helpful DB transactions are ST04 , DB12 , DB13,DB14,DB01 etc
Thanks
