Raj,

I am assuming that you are talking about finding out how many CVCs you will need to create based on

20,000 records and 9 Characteristics

I dont know what you mean by 20,000 records.

However here is a simple example which will answer how to estimate number of CVCs

Characteristics: Sales Org, Product, Customer

Records: Sales Org:100,200,250 ;;Product: x1,x2;;Customer:A

Number of CVCs: 321=6

sales org product customer

100 x1 A

100 x2 A

200 x1 A

200 x2 A

250 x1 A

250 x2 A

****************************

Find the number of records for each characteristic and then multiply all of them-That should give you the Number OF CVCs

Hope this helps

If you only want to know how many CVC's will be created, don't execute the report. To know this, you only have to click on button Number of hits.

hi Kumar,

When you say that you have 20,000 records, i think that you have this records in a infocube so, if you want to create cvc's base on this infocube you have to do this.

1. Go to transaction /SAPAPO/MC62

2. Select your Master Planning Object Structure

3. Click on button "Create Characteristic Combinations"

4. In "Create Characteristic Combinations" section select the option "Generate Immedtly"

5. In "Data Source" section select "InfoProvider" in "Load Data From:" field

6. In "InfoProvider" field select your infocube.

7. In "Version" field, select your data version, maybe you are using 000 version

8. In "Date from / to" fields select the range of data you want to use

9. If you have some time series already created, select check box "Adjust Time Series Objects"

10. Click on execute button.

I hope this can help you.

Hi raj

Do you want to know the number of CVC in POS ? Or do you want to know required time series objects ?

If you just want to know CVC, you can calculate with following steps.

1. Go to /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN

2. Please go to POS maintenance area

3. Right click your pos and select detail

4. You will see some area in right side. So please open performance folder.

As a result of this you can see the number of CVC exist in POS.

Best Regards
