External requirement transfer other than Account assignment K

Dear Friends,

We are working on sourcing cycle where External requirement is transferred from ECC to SRM.

We have defined various account assignments like NET, OR, AS and assigned attribute in organization structure.

Now if we transfer PR with account assignment "F - order (any thing other than "K - Cost Center") from ECC to SRM then system creates Shopping cart only with account assignment "K - Cost Center". Isn’t it strange behavior?

Has any one faced this problem before?

Does it mean only external requirements with account assignment "K" can be transferred to SRM for sourcing? As in Bid Invitation item detail there is no Account assignment tab to enter the account assignment details.

I even tried removing Account assignment "CC" from organization structure attribute; still system creates SC with account assignment "CC".

Is it standard behavior or is their any configuration?

I have gone through each of the listed OSS note … but non of them describes about External Requirement transfer other than Account assignment K…

Anyway I have raised this issue to SAP... I shall keep this thread posted.

I have received confirmation from SAP and its a limitation that standard SAP supports only account assignment "K-Cost Center" when PR is transferred from ECC to SRM.

Further, if you have a clear rule how to determine the SRM internal acc.ass.cat. (e.g. depending on product categories or products) this has to be developed using Badi's

You can use BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_IMP during import of R/3 Backend documents

and BP_ACCCAT_MAP_EXP during export to R/3 Backend documents.

Please note, that the BADI BBP_ACCCAT_MAP_IMP might not be filled with

acc assignmt type from the backend, but with the values of the used accounting data (e.g. wbs element number) and the already determined SRM category (e.g. CC).

SAP Note 505030 says "External requirements with an unknown account assignment category are not supported".. but it do not mention any thing about other account assignments other than K-Cost Center like A - Asset, N - Network, F - Order .

Can any one try this simple scenario in their environment and let me know whether it’s a limitation in SRM?

maintain the account assignment category in PPOMA_BBP as order.
