Hi..
we have ITS implemented here..which sonnects to SAP R/3 System...which has few services running
when v type the ip address of ITS server in the web browser...it asks for user/pwd on main page...we can log into the system properly. after logging in when we access the services inside it..it again asks for user id/password where as when we add the entry in the host file for local machine..it doesnt asks for the user-id/pwd again n again..
can anyone help?

Hello,
You should have a look at the URL that is generated once you call the first service. If the second service is calling a URL with a host name then it will ask for logon information again because the cookies are set by domain or ipaddress. What is the first service you are calling with links to other services? If it is a custom transaction then make sure it is `urlWgate` to create the URL links.

Hello,
The URL I am referring to is the URL in the "view source" of the PZM3 after you logon the first time. Have a look if the URL's that are on the "view source" are also using the ipaddress. The URL you gave looks like the URL in the browser's address bar.
Are these standard PZM3/PZLE templates that you're using? You'd probably be better off opening an oss message to bc-fes-its at this point.

Hi,
as far as I remember there is no SSO cookie issued when not using a hostname (or even a full qualified hostname) in the URL. Since this cookie is used to log you on to a different service every time you call a url with a exclamation mark in the end. If you don't get this cookie you will get prompted for user/password every time you start a service.
Anyway it's easier to use speaking names for servers instead of IP addresses.

Hello,
Are you using ITS 6.20 or the Integrated ITS in the WAS 6.40?
If ITS 6.40 then you should be using fully qualified host names anyways. Check the profile parameter icm/host_name_full and see help at:
