availability check

without maintaining MRP Screens in material master can we perform availabilty check for a material.

Hi,

I think yes.We need the field checking groupfor ATP check and that is maintained in sales general plant data.

In my earlier replay i gave it wrongly as No.

Yes. It can be maintained in Sales: General / Plant data in material master. It also depends on the Material Type you are using.

Hi,

I think Yes it is possible. <b>We will maintain the Checking group for availability check in the Sales general plant at Avaialbility check.</b>

Based on the MRP group or MRP Type, Requirement type is detrmined in the sales document. <b>If we dont maintain these in the MRP Screens, Requirement Type is found out based on the material Type</b>. Based on the requirement type, Requirement class is determined where there are controls for Avaialbility check and Transfer of Requirements.

We can not do availability check with out MRP 3 screens.. you have availability check option is there..
