ides installation problem help !!!!

Hi,

I am trying to install Sap IDES on my computer but it keeps throwing up the following error message every time its get close to installing the export files.

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong ?? Any help would be much appreciated

Hello Ian

One thing I want to know what is the opearting system you are having ?

If You are installing IDES - 4.7 with IGS then please remember one thing

Take all of your export in root drive for example E:

then

E: EXP-1, Exp-2,Exp-3,Exp-4,Exp-5,Exp-6,Exp-7,Exp-8 (Remember Exp-5,6,7,8 are in the Exp-4 Folder, Cut & Paste these folder in Root Drive), Also keep you SAPinst,Kernel, JAVAIGS Dump Folder on This Drive

Trust Me It Works

Follow these steps & you will find the clean installation

create that directory and it will work.

Hi,

why does it not create it when installing the files, I am sure that I have tried that on a previous install but it still came up with the error.

Does the directory exist? Was it asking where the export files reside or was sapinst asking where to PUT the database files?
