FA Tracking ID #/ External ID 1

Hello All

Our customer would like to have the External ID 1 / External ID2 i.e the tracking numbers for the shipment be easily accesible to the customer services employees.I am not able to find any field where these numbers are again referenced. How would the customer service give the tracking number or container ID to the customer when the customer calls to check on the status of the delivery.

Hi Susan

1) use vl03 and open the delivery

2) go to header - gen Header data

3) place your cursor on the External delivery field and Hit F1

4) Click on technical info

5) place cursor on data element field and click on navigate

6) click on where used ICON and choose tables

7) when you hit return, you will see all the table / structure s which are using this field

verify for appropiate table by checking against this

Thanks Nanda... This was a very helpful tip. I guess.. i would have to use my ABAPER to get this field to show up at a different document.
