MINI SAP on Windows Vista Home Basic

Hi,

I'm trying to install the MINI SAP CD in the Windows Vista Home Basic, but I'm not getting success. I made download of Virtual Microsoft PC but for the version Home Basic, it doesn't have function. Somebody could help me please ?

Simple answer: it´s not supported and will not run, use Windows XP SP2 or Windows 2003 for it.

1 - Click start

2 - Click control panel

3 - Click user accounts

4 - Click turn user accounts control on or off

5 - clear checkbox

6 - OK

I tried turning off the user accounts control, it did not work.

It comes with the ABAP objects books. Its on Amazon.com. It has a black cover.

Hi

post the error message your getting

pro activeley what you can do is

right-click on the SAP tutor icon and choose properties

and click on the compatibility tab

change this to Windows XP.

I had the same issue, 2 options to try:

<b>Windows Vista has an option where it will prompt you about problems on your computer and then upload the error to miscrosoft and hopefully they will fix it.

Install an XP virtual machine and run it on that.</b>

I tried othe option of running the install exec as XP, it wont work, there is multiple batch files execs involved.

According to note 1040931 you need the following kernel versions to make it work:

[...]

  • SAP Kernel 6.40:

DW-Package (183): operating system version check

J2EE-Package (n.a.): operating system version check

NTCLUST.SAR (n.a.): crashes in MMC and Resource Monitor

SAPINST (n.a.): installation support on Windows Server 2008

Note that SAP does not yet fully support these operating systems.
