SAP WAS JAVA sp-stack 12 installation problem

Former Member

Hi all,

We are installing the applying patch sp-stack12 to sp-stack5 of our WAS JAVA. During the intallation phase we came accross the step as follows:

-

J2EE Add-In The RFC User Information dialog appears.

Enter the following:

• SAP Web AS RFC user

• SAP Web AS RFC password

• SAP Web AS RFC client

You have to use a RFC user that has the appropriate rights to access the server add-in. For example, the users SAPJSF and J2EE_ADMIN do not have the required rights. A valid user name would be DDIC.

-

We tried with DDIC and also all possible admin level ids with the corressponding passwords. But in vain. Its always saying that the password for the specified user <WAS02> is wrong. (here WAS02 is our sysid).

Can anyone suggest some info to correct this error.

Thanks in advance

Satish.

Hi Siddhesh,

I'll be a bit clear

The message is

-

DIAGNONIS: The password for the specified user <WAS02> is wrong. Please enter the correct password.

-

But <WAS02> is not the entered username rather the SYSID of the WAS JAVA.

No matter.. which username is entered it always comes up with the same message even if the passwords are correct and as a result we cannot proceed to the next step of installation.

Hope that its a bit clear now.Any Idea?

Thanks in advance.

Satish

Hi,

Ya it is the hostname. There is not error log. It just stops saying that the password is incorrect preventing us to go to the next step.

Any idea??

Thanks
