install,config ess business packages

install,config sld, webdynpro Jco destination.

1) but we still encounter the ESS tab -webdynpro error below. kindly

advise for the demo purpose.

Hi...

I assume that you have ensured your software components match up with a stack.

I assume you need both Self-service JCO connections plus the related area. For example, you need 4 connections to run ESS.

I would test the app with user id and password before using ticket configuration.

i have ensure the PCUIGP - sp5, SAP HR sp5. appreciate some solution soon.

I have also develop a simple page with adaptive RFC using

netweaver development studio and connect to R3 to retrieve data. this is working fine.

If you login to WD content admin and execute the pdata application for the country you have configured, do you get the same error?

I would set the JCO connections to user name and password.

fyi.

1.pls advise the high level step to execute the excute of pdata application in content admin. Jco test connection is working for user name and password (both) and also working for SSO (appl Jco). I would get the same error above if I could application name e.g. LeaveRequest and Click on PREVIEW.

Before testing in portal, login to the Web Dynpro content administrator. Under the applications, expand sap.com and locate for example us/pdata component. Expand directory and run the application.

Hi Allen,

Can you login with the portal user name directly on the backend via SAPGUI?

It seems the backend doesn't recognize you.

Be aware that ESS and MSS use 2 JCO connections. The MetaData and Generics. Both JCO connections must work properly in order to test ESS/MSS.

Another cause could be that Single Sing On (Ticket) does not work properly...

Thks for your prompt reply.

1. Yes, i have created all Jco Destination -> maintain jco destination. Test connection, Ping are ok. Generic - Ticket, Metadata - User/password.

2. SSO is setup in R3's parameter and ticket is imported into /nstrustsso2. SSO is ok to R3 too.

3. User Management are using SAP System only + database.

R3's id is used to logon to portal/r3(sapgui/webgui) and they are ok.

4. I just can't get the previous in content admin for the webdynpro application. always hit the above error.

5. super id:idadmin is used for logon, no authorization issue.

more advise are welcome
