what do you mean by open standard ?? out of the WSDL, XSD, Xpath, BPEL which one supports open standards ??

Hi palnati,
open standard means a standard (e.g. language) that can be freely used and is not protected.
Have a look at wikipedia: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_standard">Open standard</a>
WSDL, XSD, Xpath and BPEL are all open standard.
ABAP for instance, is not an open standard.

Open standards term is used in XI world for the reason that it uses XML technology.
What ever you have mentioned comes under that and each one of them you mentioned has its own significance. So you are looking for a specific thing in open standards, probably some one could help you with.
