hi expects,
what is difference between business system and business service?
You would typically create a Business system in the SLD and use it in XI, if there exists a system with the specified identification
You would typically use a business service in XI without creating an entry in the SLD , if it is abstract entity (say a webservice/ file server) .
For eg,
With the above mentioned options, you can create a business system for a file server and import it in ID, or simply connect to th file server as a business service (an abstract system(

Hi,
Services can be Business Services,Business Processes or Business Systems.
A Business Service represents an abstract ,addressable unit.Business services are used in cross company processes.Using business service ,you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
A Business system addresses a business system as a sender or receiver of messages.Unlike business services ,they represent a specific (application) system in the system landscape. It comprises information about the inbound(sender) interfaces and outbound(receiver) interface and the software component versions of the business system

HI Rohit
YOu can find lots of forums regarding Business system and Business Service. YOu can search in the SDN Forums...
1. Business Systems are registered on the SLD. Business Services are not.
2. Business Service requires manual adding on Inbound and Outbound Interfaces, Business Systems do not.
3. Business Systems should be mandatorily used when dealing with Idoc's and Proxies .
4. Business Services are maintained across environments and so, there names cannot be changed. Business Systems names can be changed across environments by providing SLD level transport targets.
5.In the Business Services we cannot maintain the Group and Targets in SLD.For Ease in transporting your ID/Configuration objects Groups and Targets are used in SLD for Business Systems.
6.Business Service has no SLD Entries and No Assigned Products and SWCV's
Cheers..

A business system is a system that is present in your Landscape. It is defined as a Business system in your SLD which is assigned to a Technical System.
A business service is an abstract service which is not present in your Landscape. Since it is not present in the SLD but you will have to use it still, you will create a Business Service.
