How to get Segment and Higher Segment Numbers for each segment

Hi All,

Is there a way to get the Segment Number and Higher Segment Numbers for each segments.

I am doing graphical mapping, through this mapping can I get both segment and its higher segment numbers. I need these segment number and its higher segment numbers to store it in a sql tables.

Can any body suggest is there any way to do it...

Murthy,

I think you can get using the Index function. If you dont get the desired result then you have to go for a UDF. Check this weblog from Claus. He has given a UDF in this weblog:

Can you give the sample outbound structure , and specify which segment numbers do you want, so that it could be easy for us to suggest.
