Returns movement Type

Hi Gurus,

I want to replace the movement type 651( Returns from customer) into another movement type where the returns from the Customer will be taken to Inspection/Quality Stock.

How to configure that in Schedule lines for Returns.

Hi,

If your requirement is to default a different movement type instead of 651 (may be 653 or 655 etc) create a new schedule line (may be a copy of DN) and give the desired movement type.

Create a new item category ZREN (copy of REN) and ensure that this schedule line category is defaulted for ZREN item category (ZREN to be determined for the desired returns order type).

PS:

We had a similiar requirement; users wanted diff movement type but not for every transaction. So we changed the item category through an exit based on usage indicatory which user would manually change if he wanted a different movement type.

Hi,

In most of the cases, at the time of PGR, the returned quantities are taken into a separate storage location, where further notifications/quality checks/usage decisions are carried out. Then based on the usage decision, the stock is pushed either into restricted or unrestricted or scrap through different movement types.

check moment types 321/322/349.

You can use suitable one as per your requirement as assign this in schedule line category.
