Relogin Problem in IR,ID

Hi all

I am facing a weird error here.

When i enter username,password to relogin to IR or ID when the connection broke, I am not able to log and i get the following message

<i>Unable to connect to server abc:50008. Check server availability Connection to server lost You can log on again once the server is available again Do you want to log on again?</i>

I am on SP 15

Kindly suggest how can i relogin?

Hi Krishna,

If you had saved your objects before the connection broke then theres no issue.

In case you didnt then i believe your objects are lost.

I dont think it allows one to relogin after the connection is broken, even though you would get a popup to enter the login details.

Dont think that is always true. Coz just now i was able to login to ID after 2/3 attempts

but IR is still resistant to my attempts:(

Now, what causes the IB to behave so weirdly?

Hi Krishna,

I never tried 2,3 times .. it used to happen to me too. Anywayz i was lucky enough to save the objects before the connection used to break down.

If the problem doesnt get solved you can open a OSS message.

Were you able to login to the same session which was earlier disconnected?

Yes, to ID but not into IR

Smart thinking but i dont want to recreate a network of mapping structures.. Would you love to redo it?:)

but yes, if there XI fails to put me back in , i have to remap and for gods sake i should keep saving the objects periodically.,

Hi krishna,

Then you wait till the server is working but if you are getting this error

even if the server then its a little weird because i've got this error only when server is down.

That is not the case clearly coz i am able to open another session of IR by going thru the home page but stilll not able to relogin to the old one

Ask your basis guy immediately to solve your problem.Ask for an alternate login details

Your XI server is down.Ask the people who maintain the server to start it.You can work then.

hi krishna,

check for ur server availability.

if its up and running, try closing the previous window and relogin from XI home page again.

the server is available

i dont want to relogin thru the home page, coz i have some unsaved content, which i fear will be lost if relogin afresh thru the home page
