Hi Sunil

Error in UOM ST conversion – no ST found in ISO code

I have encountered a similar error while posting IDOc some two years back;

Reason and Remidy is given below:

Follow the steps below to get rid of this error:

SPRO => General Settings => Check Units of Measurement

Select ST Unit of measurement

Click on view icon

Goto ALE / EDI sub heading

Check for ISO code = ST

Uncheck the “Primary Code” check box.

Save the changes in CTS number;

(Note: This is a config change and needs to be done with prior approval from your client with the help of customization CTS number)

Just in case you are having PC as UOM in your material master, then follow this:

Else if it any other UOM even then you can check for "Primary Code" key.

Actualy for PC it should be PCE in ISO code section. When you are using this to create orders in your system, then only PCE should have Primary code checkbox enabled. Else you will get error for any other ISO codes if it is enabled and it will not allow you to post orders idocs in SAP

Alternately you can check the same in T006 table.

Field name is PRIMARY

For your UOM PC if this is enabled (X) then it is right

If for your UOM ST if this is also enabled (X) then you need to remove this in order to post ORDERS IDOC without errors;

Hope this will help you out !

Syed Nasir....

Hi Sunil,

Besides material master data maintenance, check with the settings in CUNI.

In material master data --> Additional data --> unit of measurement maintain the sales unit required.

If Unit of Measurement ST does not exist, ask the MM consultant to create the same.

Hi sunil,

Check whether the sales Unit of material for that particular Org is ST inmaterial master.

Also check in the Pricing procedure too the unit of measure against the order type.
