Do i need ADS so as to use PDF-Based Print Forms?(Please URGENT)

Hi All ,

I am trying to run the test program FP_TEST_03 (Flight Booking Example) in sa38.

When i run it i select Output Device and Print Preview.

But i cannot see the print form i supposed to see.

I can see this message

Keine gültige HTTP Verbindung: ADS.

Do i need to install ADS?

Generally, could i work with PDF-Based Print Forms without installing ADS?

Please i want a sure answer for this question.

Hi Ari ,

Working with pdf based forms can be done in two scenarios

1. As obvious ADS is must else u cannot work with pdf based forms.

2.You can use smart forms as an ABAper .For this u need not have ADS.

If it is simply to print and keep the document static ,readonly documents it is always best to use smartforms .

ADS is well suited for dynamic scenarios ,online forms
