No Knowledge of ABAP, Can I learn SAP NETWEAVER XI ?

Dear Friends,

I do not have any experience or knowledge about ABAP.

Can I learn XI or I MUST definitely learn ABAP first before I proceed to learn XI.

Some people at various institutes told me to learn CA- Cross Applications and that would be enough.

Please post your suggestions......

If you prefer to use ABAP over java for doing the mapping programs, knowledge in Object Oriented ABAP will be highly useful

Welcome to XI...

If you have any programming knowledge with oops concepts then it is enough to learn XI.

If you know CA then it will be an added advantage...

Hi Raj,

That is a highly debated question.

You can surely learn ABAP, but then life becomes easier if we know ABAP.

ABAP is the base of all SAP Applications.

In XI lot of times we have to write ABAP code to complete a scenario.

Like if we use proxy or need to extend IDOC we have to write ABAP Code.

I would suggest you to learn ABAP .

You also need to learn CA.
