My team are assigned to enhance a product (SC) which have been developed by another team.

Both team have their own NWDI, so that we should transfer the original source code from their NWDI to ours.

My problem is that How can I transport SC inter-NWDI for further development

since you have a sca with you, you could check in this sca into a new track on your own NWDI ( from the check-in tab) in your landscape configurator and start edit the source code in your NWDI...I would recommend you search for SAP notes for this procedure..

How could I get the sca?

Is it using /SCD/SCDownload? if it is, with which option?

Development, Consolidation, Assembly?

with buildarchives

without buildarchives?

package type source

package type archive

package type source and archive?

I have tried to search for SAP notes, but no useful information found.

may be search term suing were not suitable.

check this

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/8a/68809f4f294f9ea52e82f84a6ff6ca/content.htm

and the steps before that i.e. prerequisites for assembly..

I have tried that before, and got the SCA.

But how could I import (Is it correct be called it "Import"?) into the new Track in the environment?

The following steps I have tried.

1. Export the CIM of the SC and import that into the SLD of the our NWDI.

2. New a track and add the corresponding SC to the "Software Components for Development" in Landscape Configurator.

3. In Transport Studio, I can't find the SCA whether I placed it into "JTrans/inbox" or other directory and using Configure Check-in. So that I can't import the SCA into the new environment.

The structure of the SCA is as following.

|--BUILDARCHIVES

|--[vendor]_[DC name].zip

|--DEPLOYARCHIVES

|--[vendor]_[DC name].sda

|--META-INF
