Hello friends,

while creating order, iam getting the following error.

"No Business area determined for item no 000010"

Please provide a solution.

Hi Shaikh,

Goto T-code OB65 and remove Tick mark against your Company code .

hi shaikh,

Its basically an FI related organization element and to be configured by the FI. I guess you are practising on a stand alone system. you can do away with it by going to OB65 and select your company code. Against which a tick would be there, just remove it and save.

what has happened is you have cut the link which requires business area assignment.

But for information on business area pl go through this.

Business Area

Definition

Organizational unit of external accounting that corresponds to a specific business segment or area of responsibility in a company. Movements in value entered in Financial Accounting are assigned to business areas.

Financial statements can be created for business areas for internal purposes.

The definition of the business area organizational unit is optional.

Use

Business areas are used in external segment reporting (over and above company codes), based on the significant areas of operation of a company (for example, product lines, branches).

To define business areas, choose the following in Customizing for the Enterprise Structure: Definition ® Financial Accounting ® Define Business Area.

If you have defined business areas, the transaction figures for the G/L accounts are managed separately for internal evaluation purposes. You can therefore create internal financial statements for business areas.

select ur company code and remove the tick in business area.

1. You have to assign bussiness area to ur sales area.

Menu Path:

SPRO,ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE,ASSIGNMENT, SALES AND DISTRIBUTION, BUSSINESS AREA ACCOUNT ASSIGNMENT, DEFINE RULES BY SALES AREA. After that Assign Bussiness area By sales area.

goto spro - sales and distribution - business area assignment.. there you find 3 opitions ...select as client required..

click on that there u will find

1.define rules by sales area.

buisness area can be determined by

1. sales area.

2.plant and division.

3.distribution channel and plant(not sure.. kindly check)
